Our team is composed of incredibly bright, fun, caring and talented individuals. We're super-passionate about what we're creating, and live and breathe the MyCityWay brand. We all share the same vision, and derive a great sense of pleasure in knowing that this free resource helps millions of people around the world on a daily basis.

Flashback, December 2009.Three friends and colleagues (Wall Street types, if you will) are sitting in a coffee shop. They're sharing mutual frustrations about the paucity of mobile apps designed to better everyday city life. The information and technology exist, yet no one is presenting it in such a way that it helps you find what you need in the city, when you need it with just the tap of a finger. And so, naturally, they decided to create it themselves.

Our Fearless Leaders

Puneet Mehta, Co Founder & CEO

Puneet started programing when he was 9 and has been hooked since then. Before co-founding MyCityWay, he held many technology executive positions, where he built situationally-aware, self-learning technology that ran businesses or helped people make real-time decisions – in everything from trading platforms to supply chains. Most recently, as SVP of technology strategy and architecture for Citi Capital Markets, Puneet pioneered significant firsts in large-scale cloud-based CRM, and mobile interfaces for wealth management systems. Business Insider magazine named Puneet to "The Silicon Alley 100: New York's Coolest Tech People In 2010" and "35 Up-And-Coming Entrepreneurs You Need To Meet". In his spare time, he rides and works on his vintage motorcycle, mixes music, studies minimalist industrial design, and volunteers for two non-profits.

Sonpreet Bhatia, Co Founder & COO

Sonpreet has extensive experience in technology architecture, new media and in leading teams that develop large-scale, real-time systems. She began her career as a Scientist at IBM's TJ Watson Center in Hawthorne, NY where she worked with the CIO to define the first-ever standard integration interface within automated order processing. She moved on to Wall Street as a Vice President of Technology for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she helped build innovative technology for integration and risk solutions. Sonpreet co authored, "WebSphere for z/OS V6 Connectivity Handbook", a technical book for IBM Redbooks. Business Insider magazine named Sonpreet to "The Silicon Alley 100: New York's Coolest Tech People In 2010" and "35 Up-And-Coming Entrepreneurs You Need To Meet". Bhatia received her Master's Degree in Information Systems in 2001. Her responsibilities at MyCityWay include managing the day-to-day operations of the business, including marketing, PR, legal, general operations, HR and more. This multifaceted position allows Sonpreet to leverage her understanding of technology and digital media, along with her experience managing teams to drive innovation. She speaks five languages, has taught yoga, and is an aspiring Ayurvedic chef, which involves balanced cooking to promote wellbeing.

Archana Patchirajan, Co Founder

In co-founding MyCityWay, Archana's hope is that the company's unique technology can positively impact the way people live and experience their city on a daily basis. Her career history developing technology for some of the larger financial institutions out there has proven invaluable. Archana graduated from the PSG College of Technology with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science. Since graduating, Archana has worked for companies such as S&P, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup in various capacities.

Meet the Team

Steven J Rowe
Chief Revenue Officer

With a strong background in marketing and sales, Steve is focused on developing creative programs that add value to MyCityWay's products by partnering with the companies we all love. He finds ultimate satisfaction in creating the perfect connections between consumers and brands. Prior to joining MyCityWay, Steve was head of sales and marketing for Zagat Survey, and needless to say, knows how to eat very well. We'd be remiss if we didn't share that Steve considers his beautiful family his biggest accomplishment in life. If that's not a solid pitch, we don't know what is.

Ilangovan Murugesan
Sr Business Analyst

Ilango is wildly knowledgeable in everything numbers – quantitative analysis, statistics, database management, and more. Ilango's like a wizard when it comes to translating hard-tograsp results into clear, concise reports that can be easily understood by the masses. Despite his questionable sleeping habits (by questionable, we mean non-existent), Ilango is responsible for the critical analysis and insights consumer behavior-driven decisions. Never without a smile or the willingness to help a colleague out, Ilango is the working machine that keeps MCW running hot!

Shobhit Agrawal
Head Of Engineering,
MyCityWay India Labs

Having worked with multiple Wall-Street companies, Big Software Houses and Startups to build mission-critical applications, Shobhit is now our resident technology expert. He has an deep Passion to learn & experiment with new technologies and Project Execution Methodologies. Give him any new technology or gadget and he can spend hours in dissecting, understanding and making it deliver great products. Combine this love for technology with his passion for food and travel and you will realize why he is the head of our technology labs.

Payom Dousti
API Manager

Perhaps more important than analyzing 3rd party partner integrations and managing a team of developers and system engineers is Payom's efforts to end the stereotypes that beset his profession. Sorry, NERD, that's not going to happen. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (BA, Biological Sciences), Payom focuses his efforts on bettering our product on every level. When he isn't attending music festivals he's working hard to become an even bigger hipster than our designers. Music festivals, obviously, are key to that.

Bojan Mitreveski
Interactive Design Lead

Bojan hails from Macedonia. That's right, Macedonia. He thankfully brings his passion for beautiful architecture to his graphic designs, his many talents can be seen in everything he helps to create at MyCityWay. Euro at heart but a worldly soul, Bojan is super-into sports (soccer and basketball chief among them), coffee, food and wine.

While performing stand-up comedy here in her home city of New York, Alex was approached by a recruiter who told her she had "a bright future in sales." This turned out to be true. A graduate of Smith College, Alex made an impact in her first week at MyCityWay and since has worked collaboratively with brands and agencies of all kinds to build creative mobile marketing strategies. When she isn't building campaigns for MyCityWay and its clients, Alex is an avid cook, regularly brightening the office with her variety of homemade snacks.

TW is a UI/UX specialist who strives to continually refine our products and make them the best out there. He spent years in the digital media industry and was looking for something bigger and more inspiring when he met our MCW founders. He loves developing smart, cutting edge products that are comprehensive and boast a level of humanness. His goal here is to create services that markedly improve the everyday lives of our millions of users. In bettering our products, we better the user experience, and in bettering the user experience the happier TW! Nice little circle, no?

Vivek Mehta
Resident Geek / QA Analyst

Vivek to the rescue! Often referred to as the team's go-to IT expert, Vivek works diligently to establish and evolve formal QA processes as well as to ensure the company adheres to industry best practices. Vivek's selfless, kind and instinctively helpful disposition find him investigating any potential issue (regardless of how big or small) and working immediately to resolve it. He's an invaluable member of the team, who always goes the extra mile for his colleagues regardless of whatever he himself might be working on at a given moment.

Chris Herzegovitch
Director of Operations

A veteran in the digital space since the mid-90's, Chris has been managing projects, programs and operations for companies like Shopping.com (an ebay company), Scholastic and most recently Starwood Hotels & Resorts. When he's not creating solutions and applying tactics for MyCityWay, you can find him playing or coaching whatever sport is in season, or fixing something for home, a car or even tonight's dinner. Chris also makes time to lead volunteer work in his local community and town youth organizations.
