Take your kids out this weekend and explore your city in a totally cool and different way: a scavenger hunt. You’ll explore and learn about this great U.S. city also known as ‘The ATL’, ‘A-town’, ‘Hot-lanta’, ‘The Big Peach’ and even ‘The New York of the South’. Find out about its Southern charm, Civil War history and the times during Civil Rights Movement.
Your group navigates through the city by solving clues and completing location based challenges. Requirements: a smart-phone (or basically any internet capable phone) and a fun and an enthusiastic team. It’s called The Urban Adventure Quest – Atlanta, and it takes you through the city’s rich history including landmarks, famous inventors and historical moments important of the city.
Details of ‘The Quest’:
You will be beginning your quest at the starting location – Centennial Olympic Park. During the 2.5-3.5 hours that you will spend on the quest you will have to cover an approximate distance of 2.6 miles. To win this quest you have to be the first to successfully complete all the 17 clues plus an additional 3 bonus questions. Win or lose one thing is certain – you’ll enjoy this scavenger hunt.
Price:
You can register for the event at a cost of $49 per team (an ideal team size is 4-5 persons)
After completing the hunt, you can pass through an antebellum cemetery or stop for a peach pie and a glass of Sweet Tea. You can also pop over to The Georgia Aquarium – the largest aquarium in the world. Check out the CNN Center, view the Martin Luther King National Historic Site, visit the Historic Oakland Cemetery and more!
